If you are a dancer who is eager to take ballet classes but have never felt confident to take a class as a beginner, online training is perfect for you. In the comfort of your own space you can learn at the pace you need in order to build an understanding of ballet technique, positions, terminology etc. COBA is a great option for adult dancers who are returning to ballet after a hiatus, and are looking for a ballet refresher course. Not only will you learn all about ballet, you will find that you have increased coordination, flexibility, stamina and overall physical well being.
Meet the Director
Michaela Kinsey Riddle
Michaela began dancing at the age of 3, in San Diego, California. Her performance experience includes a number of roles in classical ballets such as The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Coppelia, Sleeping Beauty, Les Sylphides, Paquita, as well as extensive contemporary and modern training in Cunningham, Graham, Horton, Limon, and Counter Technique.
Michaela was fortunate to attend summer intensives at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C., Ballet West, and Orlando Ballet. In 2016 she placed in the Top 12 at the YAGP semi-finals in Dallas, Texas and was offered admission to the University of North Carolina School of the Arts as a ballet major. After graduating in 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, she began her Master of Fine Arts in Dance at Hollins University.
During her many years as a dancer, Michaela discovered her enthusiasm for dance education. She strives to create a dance community that is not only focused on product-based training, but using dance as a catalyst for empathy and evolution. Michaela is in constant awe of the strength, passion, and creativity that her students display, and hopes to foster and develop those attributes throughout their journeys with dance.

Are you a dancer hoping to audition for a summer intensive, college dance department or start a new competition solo? Coastal Online Ballet Academy has helped dancers achieve all of these goals with our Choreography Program. With your personal strengths as the center piece of the solo, we will create the perfect piece that encompasses all of the elements that make you the unique dancer that you are. The whole process can be as collaborative as you would like, communicating throughout with the guidance of an experienced dance professional .
Pricing
These are one time choreography fees that do not include individual privates to coach (prices vary based on length)
